The following
drawings are included to illustrate basic designs for a residential
driveway entrance. Existing features at or near the site need to be
considered. Selection of the driveway location should be based upon
available sight distance, the location of other entrances (existing
or proposed) in the immediate area, and must be approved by SHA. In
general, the "depressed curb" type entrances are to be
used along closed section (curbed) highways. The "open
section" driveway apron shall be used on roadways without
curbing.
